5 Corporate Security Software Market Master Half

CALIFORNIA– Nearly half of the security software market is controlled by just five major corporations, according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Gartner. Nevertheless, there is still a possibility of decline in the position of those companies.Gartner found that nearly 44 percent of the USD16, 5 billion global security software market in 2010 came from companies large range of Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, IBM and EMC.
“The achievement still leaves the rest of the rations on the market. But if you look at the achievement of such companies in the market in 2006 is still 60 percent, then obviously this year they declined,” said Ruggero Contu, Gartner analyst. As quoted from ZD Net on Sunday (07/31/2011), is that Symantec has the greatest achievements in the last five years.”Market expansion and innovation run separately, as new companies began to enter the market. The ‘players’ to bring this new innovative technologies for users,” said Contu.

Gartner says that there is still room for the security software market to fluctuate, which means the company’s new-perusaahn can still continue to increase the number of users, who always want to choose something better and new.

Even so, Contu said that competition from new companies are still going to be hard.

“The complexity of the security problems faced by users may also not be in a short time by the new companies, because of technological limitations and the resources they still face.
