Participate Triathlon, Men That Killed in Hudson River

NEW YORK,One participant was killed and another was in critical condition while swimming in triathlon races Nautica New York City (NYC), Sunday (08/07/2011).

New York City police say 64-year-old participant Michael Kudryk of Freehold, New Jersey, pulled in a state of unconsciousness from the Hudson River, he allegedly suffered a heart attack.

He was pronounced dead when taken to local hospitals.

Police also announced a 40-year-old female participants from Illinois, his name is not mentioned, in critical condition with symptoms of heart attack.

He and 26 other participants, were taken to hospital for first aid in swimming races, which is one part of the triathlon, in addition to running and cycling.

Race Chairman Bill Burke said more than 3,000 participants attended the race, the race begins with a mile swim, then bike 25 miles and ran a distance of six miles.
